I do whatever it takes [to get on base] so the rest of the team can knock me around. That's my job.

Before the year started, we set goals and one of our goals was to be at the top. It sucks we aren't there. We just need to relax and have fun, but I think we have a shot.

I love stealing bases, and I know I can do it. It comes down to the situation we're in and coach calling it though.

Alex (Kirkpatrick) continues to learn from every race and I am proud of her run. The rest of the race for us was courtesy of the underclassmen, as sophomore (Stephanie) Housley and freshmen Mindy Lake, Lisa Lake, and Kira (Davis) earned the remaining team points.

You get up, train, then you have the rest of the day, maybe do some sightseeing.

It should be the beginning of something they continue for the rest of their lives.
