I don't believe in reincarnation, but I hope that I will in my next life.

I cannot say that there is any reason to fear death; I've yet to meet anyone who's been through it come back to complain about the experience.

They are continuing that relationship with the person who has gone on; it's a testimony to their belief in afterlife.

Until we find out who was born this time around, it seems irrelevant to seek earlier identities. I have heard many people speak of who they believe they were in previous incarnations, but they seem to have very little idea of who they are in this one. . . . Let’s take one life at a time. Perhaps the best way to do that is to live as though there were no afterlife or reincarnation. To live as though this moment was all that was allotted. (132)

I'm an atheist, and I don't have any belief in an afterlife. You could say that I'm resigned to the fact that this wonderful life that we get here is it. And having hit 60, it's a good time to get resigned to these things and not be too nervous or upset - and enjoy what great times one can have.

I lost the fear of death at the same time I lost the belief in an afterlife.
