I don't know if I've ever felt this good here,

I felt I needed a good break after Wimbledon. I was mentally and physically exhausted and frustrated. I've come back to practice with a much greater purpose, the way I'm hitting the ball has made me excited. It may not happen this week, next or at the Open, but I know I'm good enough for what I want to do to pay dividends somewhere down the line.

It was good to close that one out, it was only getting tougher,

He plays the most breakers because his hold game is that good and he struggles that much on the ground game,

His serve was more awkward than I anticipated. If you don't get a good return, he immediately gets on the offense. That's the sign of a great player.

I question myself every day. That's what I still find motivating about this. I don't have the answers, I don't pretend that I do just because I won the match. Just keep fighting and maybe something good happens.
