I don't mind doing this at all. These kids keep the game going. One day, they will take over for us.

I just remember how much fun I had. I played with kids I'm still friends with today. You build some friendships there that last forever.

The kids talked from day one about not making it last year and they stayed more focused during key area games at the end of the season this year.

It's one big festive atmosphere and a celebration of the city of Coralville. All Coralville residents for that day will turn into ambassadors for the city.

I'd sit back in amazement of, one, him not having a leg, and two, the stuff he was doing without a leg. I'd never let him see me get emotional about it. Inspiration is not the word. It goes so far beyond that. I would see him put hours in the weight room and I would be there helping him. To see that desire in his face, in his eyes, he wanted to finish on his terms.
