I don't think anyone is saying that anything wrong has happened or will happen. I am just hoping that he does the right thing and steps down.

Phase one of CoNE is barely underway, phases two, three, four, five, six, seven and eight are still to come and there are 17 years to go on the tax treaty. There will be many, many, more CoNE phase proposals for the Planning Commission to review and approve so Mr. Nelson will have to step aside many, many more times.

Any new development proposal not located in CoNE is competition for CoNE and, as an employee of CoNE, Mr. Nelson would again have a conflict of interest.

It's unfortunate this happened. Why it happened, I don't know, but it did happen, and I don't think he should be rewarded for what he's done.

I was waiting, hoping for the day this happened.

I don't look for signs. But when things happen, I say, 'OK, something must be right.' Or 'OK, something must be wrong.'
