I don't think it is so important to break the monopoly of the Russians. It is not our purpose to come here. We love this sport so we skate. We still have much things to learn from them, especially in coaching.

Zhang Dan/Zhang Hao are sure to skate in the World Championships next month. We are confident with her recovery before the Worlds.

I think I could have played better.

They were not going to break at the end like some teams in this league. I don't think this team ever felt like it could catch up because (South Alabama) held it together and didn't fold.

First of all, I'm not buff enough. I got pushed away from the basket. And even when I didn't, I couldn't get anyone to throw me a pass.

I think I'm as good as the Russians and the Cubans but I've got my feet on the ground. Now that I've got a medal it is a huge thing for somebody my age. The pressure is off now and I'll be relaxed, calm and cool headed for the next fight.
