I don't want people to make a hasty decision about Jeff's future without at least hearing from the people who were involved first-hand.

What I'm hearing is the decision concerning my position was made before yesterday (Thursday). I was concerned when two weeks ago they hired Carolyn (Campbell) part time for help. We hadn't asked for help. We thought we could do it ourselves.

The decision to commence blasting in this specific quadrant two weeks before the hearing seems intended to carry out as much irreversible demolition of protected resources as possible before the Court can consider the merits. This decision is also fiscally irresponsible . . . as the cost of undertaking this activity will be completely wasted in the event the plaintiffs prevail in this litigation.

I have decided to set the tone of this hearing, and this is a closed hearing. Even if the board and Ms. Cherry waive their right to a closed hearing, it's still the hearing officer's decision.

They made this decision without the parents' input or having a public hearing.
