I don't want to say we feel like we're going to take over for the future or anything like that. The veterans inspired us. They treated us with respect and told us of their past experiences. We took our cue from them.

You can just feel the energy already. We're going to be feeding on it all week.

I feel alive now, if you will, in comparison to how I was before. I'm 33 pounds lighter with everything I do. Good stuff.

I hit a lot of iron shots coming into the green and I missed quite a few putts inside 10 and 15 feet that could have gone in, but all in all it was a very, very satisfying day. The way I see it is that if I did not miss those, then I would not have made the ones I did.

I wanted to bawl my eyes out. I was terrified. I felt like I had no idea what I was getting myself into.

I think this is what golf is all about, ... You have the same crowd that you would normally have in a regular LPGA event, but . . . you get some emotions out there that you wouldn't expect to see on the golf course. . . . It's a beautiful thing.
