I felt like I had a cannon on my shoulder. But I had no control of it at all. It's just tough to have it happen, especially when I'm battling for a job.

It was one of those days. My arm felt great, maybe too good. I was overthrowing everything. I had no control.

Every year, I get down to the weight they want me at, and throughout the season, eating dinner after night games and stuff like that, it goes up. It's always a concern. It's been a concern ever since I was in rookie ball. I've been a big guy since I was 9.

I know that I can get Major League hitters out, so I've got that going for me. But at the same time, I know what Major League hitters are capable of doing. I've thrown some good pitches and seen them hit it. I just need to learn to pitch a little bit better than I already do.

If Ned is going to put the effort into telling me he sees me having a chance of making the squad, I'm going to do whatever it takes to make Ned happy. I want to be part of this team. That's what it's all about.

I'd be nervous about skiing, wondering what I'd do if I felt shaky on top of a mountain; but other diabetics do ski, so there's no reason I couldn't.
