I felt that I needed to branch out, ... I enjoyed racing in Nashville but there's a limit as to how far you can go there.

Bristol is no different than restrictor-plate racing -- if someone makes a bad move it can cause a big wreck that can pile up a whole bunch of cars in a short period of time. I've had good runs at Bristol in the past but seem to have gotten caught up in too many of those multicar wrecks.

I disagree with him, but that's what makes horse racing.

It's been nice to get on the water and become closer to our racing speed earlier in the season.

This is our last year for sure, racing on Jeffers Street. Merchants started complaining to the city they were losing business, and the city council got involved. I was concerned we weren't going to be allowed to race this year.

He really enjoyed his racing. He knew what was going on and was a very good man to work for. He was a good loser and a good winner.
