I gave him a little lowdown on Oakland, the city, the team, the players. We just talked about a lot of things.

The Patriots are a good team. They have Tom Brady and Deion Branch. It went to who wanted it more. Obviously, they wanted it more than we did.

We have to make sure our players are disciplined to the point, where they can't put themselves or their team in a situation that's going to cost their hockey club goals, momentum, whatever you want to call it.

I talked to a number of players on the team -- including our offensive linemen -- they really wanted to do this for him. That's all healthy stuff, that's all good stuff.

We had to come through and show we're a team to be reckoned with in the (Oakland Athletic League). This is exactly what we needed. We had to instill confidence in ourselves and our school.
