I got to know Mark during the campaign, and he is a good guy. I think he has a grasp of the issue, and we both agree that something needs to be done. I look forward to working with him on the project.

I've asked the sheriff, and he told me I don't need a motorcycle license for the smaller one, and I take his word for it. The bike is a fun, quick way to get around. It gets about 70 miles to the gallon, so it's economical, too.

You won't be able to just appoint your friends and cohorts. I honestly believe making appointments will be one of the harder parts of the job. You want to choose people that are best for the board, for the residents of the county and who will have the time to do the best job possible.

These are expensive projects. And we would have to pay for it out of a contingency fund. But the design work is necessary to move this project along.

Being a nice guy is not good enough to win this campaign.

I'd like to think I'm a good guy as I've gotten older.
