I grew up in the shadow of organizations like the Urban League and NAACP, where guidance and focus for African-Americans came from.

Obviously there are numerous Indian tribes in Louisiana. We're going to be in contact with those organizations to get — hopefully — a letter of affirmation. That will be a part of our appeal. We're starting that process right now.

We didn't see this as a First Amendment issue. They could bring in any group they want. We're just saying have appropriate security.

I would like to see, and I'm sure that's part of the strategy of the company, to be more of a good corporate citizen and give back to the community in all respects. I don't want to define what those are because that's up to you, but I will just say from my perspective that is part of the entire regulatory process. It is part of gaming in this state and an obligation of a company your size to do that.

There is no reason for anybody to be concerned about any contaminants in this area.

We truly felt, and we feel now, that we had enough probable cause to believe there was a danger to the community. We had to act the way we did.
