I had a feeling he'd shoot it well. He usually does when he's missed a few. Shooters can be quirky guys.

You start getting a little bit desperate. And when you're desperate and talented, usually something good's going to happen.

We like playing those guys. When the singles field is so tough they're usually playing so many matches, then they have to come out and play doubles, it's tough for them. Sometimes they end up just pulling out of the doubles.

The most memorable moment is when I make the phone call and usually talk to the soldier himself who's been severely injured or his spouse. They begin to cry and explain to me the financial pressures they've been under. So the $5,000 or $10,000 is going to help keep their house payments up, their car payments up, the utility bills, and things like that.

We've had matches where we only missed five. That's not something we usually do.
