I had to not only hear it, but hear the tone in which it was said, ... George and I have not spoken. Everything was very abbreviated in the conversations we've had over the last so many months or maybe over a year, other than spring training. We've really disconnected, basically.

I think last year I disconnected with him. I think it's important that George and I talk on a regular basis. And I'm the one that really has to make the call because I'm the one that travels here, travels there. He pretty much stays in one place. I plan on doing that on a regular basis.

It's not something that just cropped up this morning.

It's an ongoing thing. But it's not an on-going thing if it's with someone who is used to playing every day. You get up in the morning and this is what you have and you go accordingly.

I have a feeling I'm going to make all the phone calls. I'm not going to hesitate doing that, because I learned my lesson last year. I don't call him because I need to get support; I just think it's important to stay up to date.

I don't want to say he's concerned, but he wasn't pleased. Not angry, don't get me wrong. We had a nice conversation. I put (myself) on the line and said, 'We're going to be fine.' I hope that's the case.
