I had to quit my job and start staying home with the little guys. Two of them were babies at the time and when we moved here, I was basically Mr. Mom.

My roommate was black and he'd get me to dress up really nerdy and take me to the parties with the brothers. He'd put me in dance contests against the best dancer there. That's how we made our grocery money ... until people started recognizing me and didn't want to dance against me.

These people don't go to clubs anymore. But they don't have an outlet for it. They come to my class, let their hair down and go crazy. They love it. You get these people in their 40s and 50s who are having as much fun as someone in their 20s. I have some mothers who come with their daughters, and they tell me it's one of the few times they get to spend quality time together. I've created a social network for them.

They wanted me to start a dance class, so I went and got certified.

Me and my brothers used to watch it together. That's how we learned to dance.
