I had two good swings (in the first four plate appearances), so I went back to the cage and worked with my personal hitting coach Shane Victorino on my swing some more. We put up just enough hits and runs for me to get another at-bat.

You don't get rewarded for good swings. I wasn't worried. As long as my swing is there, I know I'll get a hit somehow.

Megan pitched very well. We're getting our swings at the plate. Morris and Conner both are swinging well. It makes it tough on opposing pitchers if we continue to hit well.

There's no need to run around crazy. It's like pitchers. The first couple of weeks they're throwing all fastballs or working on stuff, then eventually they put it all together. So far I've been watching pitchers, trying to get the timing down.

I'm glad to get this series over. Obviously, we would have had four swings at it. I'm glad to get it on the first swing. Now it's time for us to try to get some rest and get some bodies healed and get back to practice, because that's my favorite part of this whole deal.
