I have a checkered past, but this is the greatest country in the world. I certainly deserve a second chance to sweep the past away.

I never saw my mother happy with me and proud of me for doing something: She only knew me as being a wild kid running the streets, coming home with new clothes that she knew I didn't pay for. I never got a chance to talk to her or know about her. Professionally, it has no effect, but it's crushing emotionally and personally.

I'm not going to keep boxing. It's part of my past and now I want to live my life.

Whenever you get the chance to represent your country in a World Cup, it's a great honor. It's a chance to show the world what you've got. I'm looking forward to it. I do wish, though, that I would be able to stay here and play with D.C. a little bit more, because this is an important stretch for us right now.
