I have a lot of memories with these people. It was great recording with Hendrix [and] playing with Stevie Wonder was great. They were all great. It's hard to pick any one of them out. Jimi [Hendrix] was very meticulous in the studio. He was always way ahead of his time.

Glasgow is always the best city to play though-I love playing there.

There's so much more subtlety to this new recording. There's a subtlety in the playing. There's also a subtlety in the way I approached the singing. The band was able to really capture the feeling of the songs and not really trade anything that we had sort of arranged for the live presentation, but the songs just aren't as loud.

There are commercial copy services [that] know how to make money on 6 cents a page. No wonder New Jersey is finding itself in such financial distress; it begins at the local level.

As my playing progressed I started playing Santana and Jimmy Hendrix.

People say we are survivors but I don't see us as survivors of anything. We are still here, there's nothing that's come and tried to dislodge us. We just go about our business.
