I have been the forensic interviewer for about a year and a half, and my job is to interview the child that is brought to the advocacy center, or the Gingerbread House.

The long, forensic interview really matters.

Job interview is often so structured and conducted that when the interviewers want to select a candidate, they even make a good sense out of his most ridiculous answer; but if they get hell bent to reject the interviewee, then even the smartest reply from him is dubbed by them as nonsense.

A pet question in Interview - You hail from which place? Are interviewers going to select the person based on his dwelling city or the values that dwells in his life?

The kinds of questions you ask tell the interviewer how well prepared you are for the interview. Asking questions about their product range--or specific services you couldn't find out simply by reading the cover letter you received from the company or from the employment ad--means you did some independent research about the company on the Internet or at the library. This shows the prospective employer that you're serious about the job.

Because I've never interviewed for a job before, I'm not a good interviewer.
