I have no recollection of the mirror thing. The thing I remember most was her sticking her head out the doorway, and she had this huge smile. That was it. I knew that she was going to be the one.

I had to go to a mirror and look at it. I couldn't picture myself in my own head. I had no image beyond a stick figure. I wasn't a mean person as a kid, or dumb, and something has to be said to justify excluding you.

This is huge. In my recollection, no school in B.C. has hosted the nationals since we did it in 1986. That's probably because it's such an enormous undertaking. It's a pricey thing and I'm really pleased that the college stepped up and supported our team. But we have established our program as one of the top ones in Canada. They know the product that we put on the floor is going to be pretty decent.
