I have one simple question: What is there to hide? If you can't trust the police, you might as well be in Russia or Rwanda.

Police officers don't get a special set of rules. The law applies to them as it does anyone else, and that comes from a case on internal investigations.

They don't cite any exemption under the Freedom of Information Act because there isn't one that applies in this case.

We don't trust police officers.

They feel that a lot of times they can't trust the police.
