I have the experience and ability to step in on day one in Washington and start working on the challenging problems facing our country.

My background in financial services and my experience as a state representative have given me the ability to identify our country's fiscal problems and find steps to remedy them.

I will support my party when they are right on an issue, but am not afraid to stand up to party bosses who are not looking out for the best interests of my constituents and our country.

The whole idea is you can't sit around and do nothing. You have to get up and start living one day at a time. That's what I did my entire career. You can't sit around and say, 'Oh, poor me. Nobody likes me. Nobody is giving me a job.' You have to get up and go. If you sit at home and do nothing, that is what is going to happen.
