I have worked with Carol for three years, and I think my opinion of her can be summed up with three words: an outstanding principal.

I think to come back and horseshoe out for a birdie summed up my week really. I don't know whether it was the heat or the long week, but I had just no good feelings at all. I couldn't get anything going, but hopefully I can learn from it.

I'm sure there will be similar responses from other parents about Carol's work. I've served on the PTO board for three years. I can assure you that I would not do this if it weren't for Carol.

I've enjoyed working with her in so many ways, both as a parent and a PTO president. What you see from her at school is what you get. By the end of the second day of school last fall, she had already learned and remembered the names of almost all of the kids in the building.

Every revolutionary idea seems to evoke three stages of reaction. They may be summed up by the phrases: 1- It's completely impossible. 2- It's possible, but it's not worth doing. 3- I said it was a good idea all along.

The current image of the Old Town can be summed up in three words: unsafe, uncomfortable and difficult to access. That needs to be changed.
