I haven't seen this since college.

The Lord told me this is where to go, not to go to the pros but to go to college and to go here. So I can't have any regret. If you do, your faith is in vain.

Many of them went on to college and other places.

He didn't know exactly where, but he said eventually he would be at a college and he would be looking for me to possibly come play for him, ... I wasn't getting along too well with the program over there at A&T, so I was looking for somewhere to go anyway.

He's a great guy to throw to. I've thrown to him a couple of years now between college and the Minors, and he's a great guy behind the plate. I trust throwing to him. His size hasn't been an issue for me. He just might not have grown into his body yet. He's still young, like all of us here. But he's learned how to call and catch from a great pitching coach [Troy Buckley at LBS]. And for me, personally, he calls a good game.

I think of Jered as another regular guy. He was highly sought-after coming out of college. On the field, he's a great guy. Off the field, he's a great guy. We just push for each other. We kind of think of each other as friends. If we ever had to go head-to-head, then, yeah, we'd compete.
