I hope that some people who do not consider themselves feminists will still attend some of the events and gain a better understanding of how issues that they might be interested in are also women's issues.

We hope the awards will inspire even more people to volunteer in 2006 and really make a difference to both their life and their communities.

In general, unions can be very powerful. But it's up to the workers to decide if that's what they want right now. I'm not saying we should definitely have a union — as a student, I'm helping to create an atmosphere where a union would be possible.

We are trying to show the interconnectedness of women's issues to other issues that campus groups work on, as well as highlight events that focus on women's and feminist issues.

We hope that English speakers and Spanish speakers will come together for these events.

Leah was solid in all three of her events. She will impress a lot of people this year.
