I hope we can (come back). Our goal as a team was to win the gold. I wanted to do better and we also wanted to do better in the relay.

It's going to be great if we can get that ring. We want to bring that gold ball back.

We shall not bring back a single bit of gold or silver, not a gem, nor any coal or iron. We shall not find a single foot of earth that can be planted with crops to raise food. It's no use. So, if you cannot understand that there is something in man which responds to the challenge of this mountain and goes out to meet it, that the struggle is the struggle of life itself upward and forever upward, then you won't see why we go.

When it comes down to it, it's just a time you are trying to beat, no matter whose it is. Hopefully it will stay for a few years.

This means that we are keeping the tradition and it proves that when we come together we can achieve what we want.

My major goal for this year is to have Oakland Catholic win the state again. I think my times are getting a lot better. They're better now than they were at midseason last year. I'm just hoping that as the year goes on, I'll get a little faster.
