I just think it says a lot for our community and our girls' athletic program (to reach state a sixth time). It speaks volumes about our kids and their work ethic.

These girls have meant a lot to the program. They probably haven't lost more than 10 or 11 games since they've been in high school.

I keep telling the girls good free-throw shooters are made during the summer. Once you get into the season you keep practicing them but you're really not going to improve all that much.

That was just so refreshing. This is what we needed to break out of that slump. The girls needed this so much today, and it was great to see them come through and step up and get the job done.

My main objective is to let the community find out who their neighbor is, whether they're in Eastport or in Parole. Everything you hear on the radio doesn't really pertain to Annapolis, it pertains to what's going on in Baltimore and Washington, D.C. We want to open people's eyes to what's really going on in our neighborhood.

It was amazing to be part of a community. A couple of girls even offered to knit me a scarf.
