I keep it real with the kids. I tell them about what society offers and you can either take advantage of opportunities or not.

But I also think what you see is a larger segment of society excluded from the mainstream, in effect, an underclass.

We're puzzled because the president has made a major part of his economic program an ownership society. What we are doing every day is helping people open businesses and grow their businesses.

You use this plastic thing that has cutouts. It might be hard for younger kids to hold down the stencil so it doesn't move, but it's fun helping them.

Like all kids, they need that. Kids with disabilities are no different. They just want to be on the track, and on the bus with the teammates. It's not about winning, it's about participating.

On Sunday, with the five to six hours of sunlight that we got, the Kids Section really came into full swing. I know the kids really enjoyed the games. The non-profit groups came out along with the other vendors, so it turned out to be a productive day.
