I knew he was an athlete and he would be able to do it, but I didn't think he would do it as quick as he did. Right when spring ball started he was doing really well. Overall, he's done a real good job but it doesn't surprise me that much.

To be able to say: 'Oh yeah, we knew this year was going to come,' I don't think anybody would go on-line and say that. He just continues to gain steam and he just gets better and better almost every outing. It really has been a pleasure to watch.

I wanted to be a pro athlete. I knew that.

I knew if I had a good season I'd probably think about leaving. There wasn't anything holding me back, but I knew if they told me I'd get a first-round grade I was going to leave.

I think he's OK. He was able to throw the ball. I'm sure he's a bit sore. He took a lot of hits (Saturday). We think he'll be ready to go for this game.

But I like to think an athlete is an athlete.
