I love America' - whilst performing in Canada.

I love my voice and if I lost it I would be devastated, but I just don't want to live my life like that. I am thinking of giving up smoking for general health reasons, and it was really embarrassing last weekend when I had overdone it and couldn't sing at all, which meant that I had to mime at a big outdoor festival. I felt really bad about that.

I love singing - singing is what I'm famous for doing. Now it's turned into things I am famous for doing - like having rows with my mum or about my boyfriend, so it does get irritating.

I always like coming to Canada. It feels like Canada is the Scotland of North America. And that's a good thing.

Canada is America without being American without that … ‘We-are-the-mighty-whatever scene.’ Canada’s image is just about getting groovy, you know.
