I love the people who I paint with. We have a wonderful group in Richmond who are very fine painters, who do wonderful things. We're always happy when somebody likes our work.

I do a lot of Richmond art because I love the old buildings. I love the park. We're all proud of where we live.

She did a lot of wonderful things for me. She really decided I should go to art school, which I did because of her. Ever since then, it was what I do because I really love that.

Love shouldn't have to wear disguises.

I don't believe in the curse, so I don't blame the curse. I think maybe we love our boys too much so we accept what happens. We have had some bad breaks -- everybody gets those. Ours have been a little more fatal than others.

My awards are lovely. I love to show them off.
