I met him as a result of Operation NOW, and he's a very passionate human being with a lot of energy. And he's focused and harnessed that energy on this program to everyone else's benefit.

It's like having students become the extra player on the field. Vocal and spirited students can make a huge difference at athletic events.

The act itself has a lot of ambiguity and as such it has placed a tremendous burden on districts to define exactly how they're going to implement the mandates of the act.

Everything that UCLA stands for, it's top of the food chain. So you either look at those things as burdens or you look at them as blessings. From day one, I've told my staff we're going to look at it as a blessing and do everything we can to build champions.

It's all about persevering. You know you're going to be tested. If you keep your eyes fixed on Christ, He's going to reward you.
