I particularly like the fact that there is no set list of books. Whatever books children choose counts towards their tally for rewards. It's all about reading for pleasure.

While some of my other books have sold more widely, Midnight seems to be the most passionately loved. There's something about its secret, rather dark fairy world that appeals very strongly.

These awards provide an opportunity for children to thank the adults that have had a positive impact on their life.

Anything can become a children's book if you give it to a child...Children are actually the best (and worst) audience for literature because they have no patience with pretence.

All of our children are imbued with the values these sisters started.

Ahhh. Bed, book, kitten, sandwich. All one needed in life, really.
