I played college football in an era when 220 pounds was still big enough to play in the line. As an undergraduate, my academics were not what you would call strong.

Through high school, college I've always been known as a heady football player. (At Michigan) we ran a very NFL-style defense and my defensive coordinator and linebacker coach (Jim) Herrmann threw a lot at us. He made me a student of the game and made me think and showed me the ins and outs.

My favorite position is receiver. If I play football in college, that's where I want to be.

It's a blessing to be able to play college football and not guessing how fast you have to run in the 40 drills or whether you were good enough in the shuttle drills, having guys poking at you.

He's one of the great players to ever play college football. He was the best player on any team this year. If he comes back, he's got a great chance to win the Heisman next year.
