I really think people will find that, at a personal level, there is a hole left in this Congress by Sonny's departure. People are going to miss him as a human being in a way that transcends politics.

Fortunately, our current economy will offer lots of hope for these people. Companies are expanding throughout the state, and the Ada County unemployment rate is at an all-time low of 2.7 percent, which means area businesses are looking for good employees with transferable skills.

My prediction this morning will be this nomination will sail through but not without a lot of questions, and the sooner the better.
