I say you are betraying the people of California. You are not leading. You have gone astray.

History will record that you betrayed your constituents and their moral and ethical values. . . . You are not leading; you have gone astray.

It was appalling to me, when these players are supposed to be role models. It occurred to me that this is not what the taxpayers of California are supposed to be paying for.

The governor has been involved in sports most of his life, and I fully expect he will sign it.

Public Safety, to me, should be a committee that works to the betterment of California, and I see it (happen) occasionally, but some of the people on there have agendas that are far and away removed from the good and safety of the people of California.

If it comes down to me leading them in the fourth quarter and putting the ball in my hands, I'll take my chances. I'm an older guy, and we have a lot of new guys. Hopefully, they will listen to me so we won't be on the roller coaster ride that we were on last year. We have to change our state of mind.
