I sincerely regret my actions in the game (Wednesday).

I sincerely regret my actions in the game yesterday. Regrettably, in the heat of the competition my emotions got the better of me.

I am very sorry and I deeply regret my actions on Sunday. In the heat of a tense game, I lost my head and made a bad decision. I'm not making excuses for my actions and I take full responsibility for what I did. I want to take this opportunity to apologize to Loren Stokes, who I have great respect for. I also want to say I'm sorry to Hofstra University's players, coaches and fans. They played a terrific game and that should not be overshadowed by what I did.

That was smoothed over when they took the prior ownership out.

My behavior was completely unacceptable. I want everyone to know that I recognize that it is never right to throw a bat and I certainly never intended for the bat to make contact with the umpire.

I don't make decisions around here. I have to wait until April to see how everything works out.
