I started thinking about what I could build in (Austin) that would make it special. We set out with a strategy to leverage the Austin vibe with music and sports and do things that were fun and cool for the city.

Somebody directed that [French] lab to leak samples with [identifying numerical] codes, and that's the question that needs to be answered before we start crucifying athletes with no due process.

That inevitably can be leaked. It's completely irresponsible, and someone's going to have to answer for it.

It's about Lance and his story. It's not about how many people watch the bike race. His endorsement value gets a lift if he wins five in a row, but I don't think he's hurt if he doesn't win. It'd be really great if as many people watch the tour as watch the Super Bowl but that's not going to happen.

Film is one of the things that makes Austin cool. I think five years from now, it's something we'll really be involved in.

I was never freaked out about what was going to happen to me. But I always believed in my heart (Armstrong) was born to race bicycles. It was an undeniable force within him, and that's what he was going to do.
