I support transitioning from the progressive tax to a flat tax system - both individual and corporate/business.

Who's on the case when it comes to the flat tax?

I support both a Fair Tax and a Flat Tax plan that would dramatically streamline the tax system. A Fair Tax would replace all federal taxes on personal and corporate income with a single national tax on retail sales, while a Flat Tax would apply the same tax rate to all income with few if any deductions or exemptions.

When I looked at it and did my homework on this issue, I concluded that a flat tax is better than a consumption tax.

I think a flat tax has merit. Anything would be better than the current tax code.

I think everyone believes the income tax system is not too understandable. I'm proposing the flat tax to get rid of deductions. However I would include a $15,000 dependency deduction so a family of four wouldn't pay taxes until they reach over $60,000 in taxable income.
