I talked to him last night and this is the first time he's been in a playoff situation. I just told him to go enjoy it.

Our greatest cause of concern would be day-after-night games,

It hurts us not to play Friday night games. We got home late Thursday from Puerto Rico and had to play a day game the next day on the 12th. We can get home at 1 o'clock not fall asleep until two and have to be back up at eight while the other team has been here. They are in bed before we even get home.

He's had that from time to time. That's the first time he's had it this year, but when a guy comes to you and says his back is really tight, you can't leave him in there. It's just unfortunate that it happened tonight at the end of this trip, a bad road trip.

It's a situation where [his emotions] are his best friend and also could be his nemesis at the same time. This is what drives him and motivates him. On the other hand, it's destructive, not only to him but possibly to a teammate at some time.

So I let them be responsible for there particular areas. Then by the time it gets to me that means that there is a problem. I have my eyes open and I need to know something about every department but you don't want to micro manage any particular department.
