I tell the girls: We win like women, and we lose like women.

These people work hard to get to the Olympics at all costs. And I always ask the girls: When they hear that Olympic music or the national anthem, does it rev them up? Does it make the hair on the back of their neck stand up?

It's a varsity program, so the emphasis is on winning. Winning is more fun. No one likes to lose, but the three cornerstones that we focus on when we begin each season are: We want the girls to improve, we want them to have fun, and we want them to learn sportsmanship.
