I tell you, I thought it was going to be a lot closer. I think they outspent me 20 to 1. I'm a little humbled by all the help I've had from people out here.

I've got a lot of hope for this district. I think this is the turning point for us. I think the voters have spoken.

I think we need to address the elementary and middle schools first. Those are safety issues that they are dodging over there.

To do that, you've got to reach out to everyone, everyone, and mean it.

A lot of people can say what they want, but people are really interested in making this district work. We've really just got to keep our sights focused on the kids and education. If we do that, the rest of it's going to come together for us.

It was a kind of graphic that would grab you. If you looked at it, and thought 'Is this anything I would want to get involved in?' I think you'd say no.
