I thank Governor Pataki for doing the right thing, ... Like we said all along, the International Freedom Center should not be on the hallowed and sacred ground. The governor listened to the American people and the 9/11 families.

I believe the Patriot Act strikes the right balance needed to protect our freedom and security.

If somebody was smart enough right now to come out and say, "You know what, we've got the people, we've got the money, we've got the time - let's cure cancer by the end of the decade." If we don't try, shame on us - because we can do it.

After I asked him what he meant, he replied that freedom consisted of the unimpeded right to get rich, to use his ability, no matter what the cost to others, to win advancement.

There is but one freedom, to put oneself right with death. After that everything is possible.

We gain freedom when we have paid the full price for our right to live.
