I think (coach Ray Corbett) came in here with a great game plan. He's a great coach and that's exactly what we expected from him. We didn't expect an easy game.

We missed (seven) throws for the game. They missed two. The game boils down to free throws, plain and simple.

Daniel has improved on several areas of his game from last season. He's just taking the ball to the basket more effectively and hitting his foul shots more effectively.

but it is so much harder now. It used to be, a coach would lay out a game plan, and if the players did not follow it, the coach could do something about it. Now, what do you do? You can't fine anyone because the players make so much money. A fine means nothing. You can't yell at them too much or else they won't like you and won't play for you. Then, they're demanding a trade or you're getting fired. Players control things a lot more now.

Our game plan was to keep attacking the short sticks, and I think we were surprised all game that [Ritz] was getting one. Defenses are focusing on me as much as they can. That's leaving other guys open.

We didn't tackle and we didn't block. My hat's off to Plymouth. Coach Barron had a fine game plan. They spread us out and ran the ball. We had our opportunities.
