I think divorce is equally painful for both men and women, but it affects women in different ways. Like marriage, divorce has a different meaning for women.

Women often wonder why they feel so bad at the end of a marriage, even if they are the ones who wanted it to end. It?s the loss of a partnership, loss of a dream, and loss of financial security, to name a few things.

Getting over divorce is a process made up of many different aspects.

Men almost always wind up in a better situation after divorce. Women wind up in a worse situation.

Sometimes I wonder if men and women really suit each other. Perhaps they should live next door and just visit now and then.

The union of two women and two men can never consummate a marriage. It's physically impossible. We can't get around that. You can be a family, absolutely. You can be loving, and I respect that absolutely. But you're not married. The other 49 states are right and we are wrong.
