I think it would be a mistake to think teachers were bad teachers before accountability and now they're good. It's that before, we were making our own standards. Now, we've got a commonality.

We have much different issues than the teachers. Just because the teachers go thus and so, it doesn't mean that's right for our members.

I really don't want to see the state of Florida create a caste system where you have superior teachers who are sought after by the parents and then a whole class of untouchable teachers.

Teachers are doing assessments already. We are trying to fill the gaps now. We're not waiting until December to fill gaps.

The teachers complaints from 20 years ago have been taken very seriously and we have been vindicated.

The symptoms teachers are experiencing are real; these teachers are ill. The BUT dismisses that nonsense because I don't understand how cancer, asthma, rhinitis or conjunctivitis falls into that category. We understand that it is a phenomenon, but it cannot be attributed to what is happening at Louis Lynch School.
