I think it's going to come down to who has the best handling cars. It's probably as close a field as you'd want to watch.

The cars have changed so much from the days of Janet Guthrie - they drive so much differently that I think a lady with the talent and with the drive could come in here today and not only participate but be competitive.

I think it would be good for the sport. Three cars is a good number. I told (former NASCAR president) Bill France many, many years ago that one of our biggest concerns is when a group of car owners has five teams, six teams, all of a sudden you only have five or six car owners.

I wasn't on the field, but if I was, I probably would have been suckered like everybody else, so don't let me lie to you. I've never gotten over it. It felt like Alice in Wonderland ; you just did not believe this was happening. As I'm watching, I wanted to push pause so the whole world would stop.

You can see where the officials (on the field) can miss it. I think it probably took a little longer than most cases because it was a very close call.

Sam Cox has had a great season and been unlucky to miss out because he was probably our best centre in pre-season,
