I think Tamara was very pleased with her performance, and we are very glad to have her. I think she can set a good example for the other swimmers, and I hope the rest of the team can learn a lot from her this year.

Bret Harte has a very good team, and I was expecting a close match like this. Their numbers made a big difference.

The whole team just did excellent today, maybe even a little better than I expected. Having to cancel our last two matches, I think they showed that they were ready to get out there.

The program is totally performance-based.

Inconsistent performance at a high level -- not because of any one guy or two guys, but as a team. I think [the fast start] gave us a false sense of security, actually. We thought we were already good, as opposed to still working toward being good.

I think it's unfortunate that things are seen as winners or losers because in the end, it's the performance that matters.
