I think that our success has come from kids like Will. When they don't get first or they aren't happy with a time, it keeps them hungry. That is the personality of this team. They always want to do better.

The success of it will depend on his ability to convince people he's not against kids — he's against unbridled public spending.

A lot of different kids can contribute to the team and I think that was a key to our success all year long.

Much of the recent team success comes from David and Diane knowing how to deal with kids going away and shepherding kids through the Christmas period,

A big part of our success was we had all the kids in the lineup perform. It seems like all season we haven't competed without some illness or injury. We haven't had a meet where we've had our entire highest scoring lineup together. It was nice to finally have everyone at the same place at the same time.

As a father, I also want to make sure that my kids have the same chances for success that I have had. We have a duty to provide a first-class education for our students and we owe them our renewed energy to bring more high-paying jobs to the state.
